Maru is a beautiful sable brown tortieshell ~ not black like most torties!  Perhaps she has Burmese somewhere in her bloodline, as her coloring is quite unusual?!?!  And she has a wonderful personality - so far hasn't displayed any of the 'tortie-tude' some of them are so affectionately known to have!  We bathed her tonight and she purred right through it - hardly a peep out of her!

She was rescued from a situation where she was to be euthanized, along with her 4 kittens, if they weren't out of a hoarding situation in a matter of 2 days... so we rescued 3 mamas and 13 kittens that day from their terrible living conditions!  Maru had 4 little red tabby babies, all of whom are up for adoption!

Her kittens have been separated from her and put in their own cage, and she is enjoying her 'space' away from them!  Very, very sweet and most likely will make a very affectionate companion!
