Be sure it actually is lost or abandoned. Cats roam far from home to hunt or to socialize with others, especially if they are not spayed/neutered.
-
If you find an 'abandoned' litter of kittens or puppies, observe before you interfere. The mother may be moving them to a different location, and your presence has scared her off. Young kittens need their mothers, and your interference, although well-intended, may cause many problems.

If you find an animal that needs medical attention, please take it to your veterinarian. You are responsible for those you rescue. We can help you by providing some of the necessary supplies and assistance needed to care for the animal, but we can not accept the animal into our own care, nor can we pay the bills.
