TigeraCat Rescues is a NO-KILL animal welfare organization. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity and strictly donations funded. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We do not receive government grants or funding and are not affiliated with any national organization, although we do use many of their services to keep our costs as low as possible & provide the public with educational materials. TigeraCat Rescues is operated by volunteers only. There are no paid employees. TigeraCat Rescues does not profit in any way (other than the satisfaction of knowing we are helping animals and assisting in completing loving families).

Help Establish a NO-KILL shelter in Black Hawk Co., Iowa!
TigeraCat Rescues is working to establish a No-Kill shelter in Black Hawk County, Iowa. This facility could provide on-site, rescue, shelter, adoption, & low-cost veterinary services.
The property must have the following to qualify:
Must be zoned commercial or agricultural.
Must have electricity & water available.
Must have heat/air conditioning.
Prefer outside city limits.

We have found a possible location but need to raise $85,000 to begin & complete renovations. A matching grant is available if we can raise the funds. This would provide Black Hawk County with a state-of-the-art NO-KILL shelter!

Our director's family has agreed to re-locate to a rural farmstead to provide immediate 24-hour, on-site staff & care to rescued animals! If you know of an available, inexpensive farmstead (in northeast Iowa) with buildings & house, contact us right away! Minimum needs include: 3-4 bedroom house, 2 baths, barn or equivalent, farrowing building, garden shed, detached 2 stall garage, and equipment shed or quanset. Prefer 2 to 6 acres.
